REPAIR AND REJUVENATION

Saddlebags prior to repair.  The cotton threads originally used deteriorated with time.  I repaired them by hand-stitching the entire yoke with waxed thread, and then reconditioned the bags with a restorative / preservative.

This was a real pleasure of a project:  remaking a long-treasured custom wallet (by another maker) that was finally wearing out.  I redrew the tooling design, created a pattern identical to the old, and remade the wallet to approximate the original.  Saddle-stitched by hand.

I  may be able to repair or rejuvenate your leather tack and accessories.  I do not do machine sewing, but can perform limited repairs including saddle stitching, riveting, snap replacement, bridle repair, and related work.  Inquire about whether I can fix your damaged items.  Have something you've really loved over the years, but it is now badly damaged?  Consider having part or all remade.

Hunters:  I may also be able to save your hard-won tanned trophy hides from the dusty corner of the garage where your spouse made you put them.  Consider giving them new life as a pillow or other useable product.
